She died in Independence, Missouri on 7/20/1959, she was 78. She is buried in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens, Independence, Missouri. Her occupation was homemaker. Her religion was RLDS. She was baptized RLDS 7/11/1889 at Lagrange, Wisconsin. She was the twin of Cornelius Elmer Closson who died at birth.

On 4/22/1900 Manly Robert Shedd & Sarah Elizabeth Closson were married.  He was 20, & she was 19.

They had ten children.  They were: Lloyd Manly, Lola Marian, Lorrie Nelson. Louisa Belle, Leroy Owen, Lenoir June, Laurence Rex, Lyle Devere, Lora Harriet, and Lyndon Robert.
