Barbara Thoman Curtis 1938 - 2019

Jack L. Foreman, age 81, of Stover, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019, at his home with his son, granddaughters and their husbands by his side.

He was born May 14, 1938, in Cameron, a son of John Oliver and Floy Mae Dean Foreman. On December 3, 1960, in Independence Jack was united in marriage to LouAnn Middleton. LouAnn preceded him in death March 11, 2013.

He was a 1958 graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence.

As a young man he worked at A&P Grocery in Kansas City. Jack later went to work for Kenworth Truck Company, where he learned the trade of welding; which was a decision that would eventually lead him to relocating and owning his own business. In the early 1960 Jack and LouAnn purchased property south of Stover, making it a weekend getaway from the city. In the mid 1980’s they decided it was time for a change, they moved their family permanently to Stover and Jack began building boat docks at the Lake of the Ozarks. He was the owner and operator of JCO Products, providing quality welding services to the lake area.

Throughout his career, Jack was commissioned to design and build large Christmas light displays for the cities of Versailles, Stover and Laurie. His snowflake designs still adorn the light poles in Versailles each Christmas and his “Jesus is the Reason for the Season” welcomes visitors to the city park each year. His design and engineering skills were often called upon throughout his career and were put to use most recently for the Stover Fire Department when a lift was needed on one of the fire trucks.

He was a man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a talented cook; always ready to provide a meal for 10 or 100.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kim Foreman of Stover; two brothers, Jim Foreman and his girlfriend Sandy and Jerry Foreman and his wife Jacquetta all of Panama City Beach, Florida; three granddaughters, Jasmine Peoples and husband Austin of Bunceton; Jordan Hainen and husband Cody of Syracuse and Justis Foreman and boyfriend Nick Siegel of Clifton City; four great grandchildren, Caysen and Beckett Peoples, Wyatt Hainen and Jensen Siegel, along with his nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his wife, Jack was preceded in death by one son, Jon Joseph “Joey” Foreman and his parents.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon – 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. A Time of Sharing will begin at 1:30 p.m.
