Day 8
11th of May. 7:00-10:00 am Breakfast 8:00 am Arrival to Harstad for our Grand Circle tour of Vesteralen Islands. We will travel by bus with a local guide who will tell us all about the area. We will visit a local farm and learn about their work. You need to take warm clothes and shoes, because at the farm there is still snow. We will leave the ship in one port and come back to the ship through another different port. Bring Whispers. 12:30 pm end of the tour in Short/and. Lunch on board. 2:15-3:10 pm. We will have a discovery walk to the Hurtigruten museum. It's a short walk from the ship. Meeting point Outside the ship at 2:15pm. We will get a short introduction to the museum and have a bit of time to explore on our own. Bring whispers. 4:00-5:00 pm Trollknsert for sale on deck 7. It's a hot beverage served in a troll mug that you can keep. 4:45-5:00 pm We will enter the Trollfjord if the weather permits it. It's a beautiful and narrow fjord. Go out front on deck 5 or out back on deck 7. 5:30 pm Buffet Dinner, free seating. 6:30-8:30 pm Svolvser. We will visit the WWII museum, a nice collection of artifacts from the WWII time. 8:45-9:30 pm Movie Night: North of the Sun. Movie in Norwegian with English subtitles. |
