Day 13
Breakfast: Onboard in the ship’s dining room beginning around 6am. Morning: After disembarking our ship around 8:30am, we'll board our motorcoach to begin the drive to Oxford. Around 9:30am, we'll stop to visit a picturesque Costwold village. Here, you'll have about two hours to explore on your own. As you wander through the village, you may feel like you've stepped into a storybook fairytale. Many of these villages have quaint, honey-colored cottages lining their narrow lanes and verdant rolling hills that breathe charm and beauty into these remote destinations. Around 11:30am, we'll board our motorcoach and continue the transfer to Oxford, where we'll check into our hotel, Courtyard By Marriott, and receive our room assignments. Typical rooms are all fully equipped with wireless Internet, TV, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and a private bathroom with a hair dryer. You can enjoy the remainder of the morning free to spend as you wish. Lunch: On your own. Your Trip Experience Leader will be happy to provide you with recommendations. Afternoon: The remainder of the day is free to make your own discoveries. Perhaps you'll stroll the cobbled streets of this historic city or rub elbows with some of its residents at a local pub. Dinner: On your own—perhaps you'll try one of Britain's signature savory pies, such as a classic sherpherd's pie or a hearty venison and wild mushroom pie. Evening: You’re free to relax at the hotel after your flight or explore the area we’re staying in. |
