Day 2
Morning: You’ll arrive in Aberdeen in the morning or afternoon, depending on your specific flight arrangements, where an O.A.T. representative will meet you at the airport and assist with your 20-minute transfer by private motorcoach to your hotel in Aberdeen. At our hotel, we’ll meet our Trip Experience Leader, as well as travelers who took our optional Scotland & England: St. Andrews, Edinburgh & York pre-trip extension, then receive our room assignments and settle in. Depending on which hotel you stay in, it may feature an on-site restaurant and bar. Typical rooms are all fully equipped with wireless Internet, TV, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and a private bathroom with a hair dryer. Throughout the day, our Trip Experience Leader will lead travelers on orientation walks of the neighborhood surrounding our hotel as they arrive. Lunch: On your own. Your Trip Experience Leader will be happy to provide you with recommendations. Afternoon: The remainder of the day is free to make your own discoveries. Perhaps you'll stroll the cobbled streets of this historic city or rub elbows with some of its residents at a local pub. Our small group will convene in the hotel lobby around 5:30pm for a 30-minute Welcome Briefing led by your Trip Experience Leader, during which we will introduce ourselves and review our itinerary in more detail (including any changes that may need to occur). We will also discuss logistics, safety and emergency procedures, and answer any questions we may have. Then, we'll walk take a short walk to dinner. Dinner: Enjoy savory regional dishes in a local restaurant around 6pm. Evening: The remainder of the evening is free for your own discoveries. You’re free to relax at the hotel after your flight or explore the area we’re staying in. |
