Horse-Breeding
Farm Visit
Today, you'll ride through the sweeping
Portuguese countryside on your way to
Lisbon. Along the way we'll stop in the region
of Alentejo, where you'll visit a working horse
farm and enjoy an exclusive opportunity
to chat with the owners. You'll learn the
wrenching story of how many families here
lost their lands to the communists and
the difficulties they encountered regaining
their holdings. A horse presentation in the
arena will give you the opportunity to learn
the differences between breeds of horses
raised here.
